BEFORE CONTACTING US TRY THESE STEPS TO GET YOUR ITEM WORKING

Troubleshooting for a Battery

If your battery seems like it is defective we can refund your payment or replace it for you. We would like you to try these basic steps to see if you can get it to work properly before we replace or refund for it.

1. Please remove the battery and check the contacts to make sure they are free from dust or debris and that the protective shrink wrap covering has been removed in there is one. You may wish to wipe them softly with a soft cloth or towel to make sure the contacts of the battery is clean. If the contacts are too small for a cloth you may instead use a paper clip or toothpick and a paper towel, or a cue tip. Also if you see any excess manufacturing glue or residue on the contact points you can try to scrape it off with a sharp knife or razor (please be extra careful not to hurt yourself while attempting this)
2. Please reinsert the battery and make sure that the battery is connecting properly with the contacts. (Make sure the battery is being inserted the right direction.)
3. The batteries are sent with little or no charge on them. Please charge your battery to 100%. This may take several hours depending on your charger. If it will not charge please try a different or separate charger such as a car charger.
4. After battery is fully charged then please discharge the battery all the way to 0%.
5. Repeat steps 2, 3 &4 again to recycle the battery.

If you battery is still not working correctly then please let us know and we will set up an RMA # and send instructions for return. If the battery does need to be returned also let us know if you would like a refund or a replacement.

Trouble shooting an AC adapter unit

First make sure the connection plug on the ac adapter that go into the camera is clean and free of any dust, debris, or corrosion.
next Plug the wall cord into a different wall outlet that you know is working, and that other items are plugged into that are working, just to make sure it isn’t the wall outlet.
Next make sure the cord going from the wall into the black box of the ac adapter is tight and cannot be pushed in any tighter.
Next plug it into the camera and make sure the connection is tight.

If you have access to a voltage meter you can check it to make sure if there is DC power coming out or not.

In some cases the wall plug cord could have a short in it. If you have another similar cord from like a laptop or other device in your house you could try it to see if it is just the wall cord that is bad.

If you still cannot get it working, then let me know and I can give you instructions to return for exchange

Troubleshooting a charger

First check to be sure your plugging the battery in correctly and not upside down. The contact points of the battery should meet the contact points of the charger. When the battery meets the contact points the charging light on the charger will turn from green to red to let you know it recognizes the battery and is charging. The light should stay a steady red until the battery is fully charged, then it will turn green to let you know it is done charging.

Next, check If the light on the charger is not coming on then also try the car adapter that came with the charger to be sure the power source is good and working. This will also help you to troubleshoot where the problem might be.

Third, check the contact points on the charger to be sure they are not stuck down, bent or broken. If they seem to be stuck you can (with the charger unplugged) use a pencil tip, or tweezers and pull the metal contact back into position or bend it back in place.

Lastly checkout our guide on our blog, with pictures of how the charger should work
